Kick off your holiday season by visiting Downtown Lake Geneva this weekend! Lake Geneva Downtown Holiday Open House features an explosion of holiday happenings from many of the downtown merchants. Start your holiday journey with a stroll and preview of offerings for the upcoming Holiday Season, while musicians, authors and artists entice guests to sip and taste their way through Lake Geneva’s historic downtown district! Help support local businesses and find something unique for everyone on your list this holiday season.  We have some great wines and spirits for the holiday's, with much more to follow! 

It all started with a crisp breeze across the lake; and within days, Lake Geneva turned into natures canvas. Splashes of warm, nostalgic colors from the ground to the sky inspire sweaters, firepits, and soul warming wine with the flavor of the season.

If you have never heard of Three Lakes Winery, out of Three Lakes Wisconsin, you are in for a treat, my friends.  This is our first year carrying their one of a kind Cranberry Wine. You can't pick just one flavor, the next bottle is just as good as the first.  So we have several flavors dressing up our shelves including; CRAN-Raspberry, CRAN-Pomegranate, CRAN-Cherry, Cran-Zen and Blackberry.     

We are planning on having Three Lakes Cranberry Wines available all season! So come in for a taste, and leave with a few bottles to take to your next football party or bonfire.  This is what you need to bring to Thanksgiving dinner.  It's sure to appeal to everyone at the table from sweet to dry, Three Lakes has something for every palate that is going to pair amazingly with your Turkey dinner! We are going to have the perfect weather for a Saturday of strolling through downtown Lake Geneva.  Featuring the best fare in the Lake Geneva area, from deep fried cheese curds to barbecued ribs, delicious homemade soups to tempting desserts, you don't want to miss Taste of Lake Geneva!  Local artists will entertain you with their tunes as you taste your way through the best of the best vendors in town all with an amazing lake view!

Like every Saturday, we will be tasting from 1pm to 5pm.  Just quick 5 minute walk from Flat Iron Park, we are just up Wrigley Street, left on Main Street and Fancy Fair Mall is on right on the left.

​It's late Friday afternoon, and this weekends weather isn't looking great.  So what do you do in Milwaukee, Chicago and surrounding areas on a slobbery day? You take a little road trip and head out for a day of shopping, browsing, eating and tasting in picturesque downtown Lake Geneva.  

Stop in and see us at New World Wine Shop between 1pm and 5pm for a special tasting from Driftless Glen Distillery.  Oh, you didn't know New World Wine Shop sells liquor? Only the finest, my friends! Taste vodka, gin, brandy, whiskey, moonshine and more.  Driftless Glen Distillery is located in Baraboo, WI -- which we love; because it's local and represents our beautiful state of Wisconsin so well with their crafty, one of a kind spirits.

Between the finale of Winterfest and the buzz of Valentine's Day in the air, it is going to be a FUN and BUSY weekend for New World Wine Shop! Make sure to pick up something fancy for your Valentine!

We would like to all of you who visited us since we opened the doors at New World Wine Shop.  It's hard to believe it was only six months ago, over Memorial Day weekend!  Although opening a wine a new wine shop is a lot of work we have had a blast! Of course its all about you, our guests.  Your input, requests, and knowledge of fine wine keeps us on our feet, always evolving our offerings and plans to make our business even better.

So many wonderful things have happened since New World Wine Shop opened for business in 2015! We invite you to take a look back at some of our most fun highlights! We sincerely hope if we didn't see you in the store last year, that we do this year!

Before we even opened our doors we were excited for spring and all of the delicious flavors the sunshine inspires! This Crazy Crosstini recipe is so easy and healthy; pairs wonderfully with a California Rose.

Our first wine tasting was on May 30th, over Memorial Day Weekend in lovely downtown Lake Geneva.  We were thrilled with the amount of visitors who came in to check out the store and sample Sangria.  As a matter of fact, our Sangria is SO GOOD, that we sell it in the store year round and not just seasonally as most other boutique shops do.  So stop in and get a bottle or two to warm you up on one of these cold Wisconsin winter nights!

One of the most fascinating event to come to Lake Geneva is The Inland Lake Yachting Association Regatta! It was an exciting time for Lake Geneva and for our shop, who had visitors from around the world in town for the festivities.  Read more about how Fontana will be hosting for the next few years!

September was such a fun month with the kick off of the fall season in Lake Geneva! We featured football party recipes, sweet Rieslings, a very cool art exhibit by Thomas Arvid in our very own Fancy Fair Mall, and so much more!  

What a month October was for New World Wine Shop! Oktoberfest was a SMASH HIT! Our shop was filled with visitors all anxious for a taste of our featured Rieslings, and mimosas.  We also put our heart into fundraising for Wisconsin Breast Cancer and Environment Research Program (BCERP) by donating 10% of all proceeds of our Pink Moscato during the month of October.   

November was a beautiful month filled with family and friends! We introduced our fun and informative Wine Table Tastings, taking place every Saturday afternoon.  We also provided some great Thanksgiving wine and cheese pairing, and the DELICIOUS New World Mulled Wine Warmer!

Full of hustle and bustle, the holiday's came and went, but not without a gorgeous spread of french wines for one of our most special wine tastings yet! We also featured some recipes perfect for entertaining!

To say Oktoberfest was a success would be a complete understatement! We saw so many new and familiar faces in the shop over the course of the weekend! It was great, truly spectacular to introduce so many people to our wine store.  As beautiful as it was outside, people still filled the store in waves! Lots of smiling, happy people who were all gathered around the tasting bar(s) listening to our wine stories and anxious for a taste of the many assortments we had for the weekend.
