 Like most Americans, we grew up watching and obsessing over the Summer Olympics, often wondering what it would be like to be the best in the world at something. While we never actually made to the Olympics, we have continued to watch and admire athletes from all over the world come together and compete for the coveted top spot of Olympic Gold. This year has been no exception when it comes to how much the Olympic games and the back stories of the athletes continue to inspire us.
What better way to showcase wines from around the world than to introduce the New World Wine Shop Olympics! For the next week or so we are going to be awarding "the gold" in several different categories of wine. Every bottle of wine mentioned is available for purchase in the shop. Wow I didn't know that there are Olympics for wine. This is a good one because drinkers can now make the appropriate choices when picking their wine depending on their needs and preferences. Consumers will be more aware and informed about the different types of wines and the best brands in each category. I just hope that the criteria for judging these wines are fair and unbiase. I've never been to any Wine Olympics. Too bad I missed this event last year. I am hoping that there will be another Wine Olympics this 2017. I will surely take the effort to participate. Please keep me updated for details. Leave a Reply. |
