Think Pink, Drink Pink!

During the month of October we are featuring a wonderful sparking pink Moscato from Spain.  It's light, sweet and bubbly! Definitely meant to be shared with friends and family.  This month we toast to the survivors of breast cancer, the women who are fighting the battle, and our friends, sisters and mothers who we have lost.  And just as importantly, we toast to the medical teams and researchers tirelessly working to find a cure for a disease that effects 1 in 8 women in the United States.  

At New World Wine Shop we take the subject of Breast Cancer research very seriously, as it is near and dear to our heart.  During the month of October we are donating  10% of total Pink Moscato sales to breast cancer research.

Choosing which research effort to support warranted some deliberation on our part.  We concluded that all fundraising on our part would be best served to support a local and more specific research program.  We chose the Wisconsin Breast Cancer and Environment Research Program (BCERP).

"Advocates working across the state have joined the effort to bring the concerns of the public to the scientists.  The scientists, in turn work to make public their research findings so that women can have the most up-to-date information to lessen their risks in developing breast cancer, both for themselves and their daughters," -- BCRP
